Can anyone tell me what tail rot looks like?? The top 1/3 of Harvey's tail has turned white over the past couple of days; it doesn't appear to hurt him, or have any odor, or anything "icky" like that. I also know that he's going through a shed; could this be his tail shedding? I haven't had him very long (since November) and I've never seen his tail shed before. Also, I know that I need to call the vet, but it's late here and the office is closed.

Sounds like his tail is shedding. Keep an eye on it but don't worry too much, it is probably fine.
