anacondajake May 25, 2004 03:51 PM

hey guys,

if you remmember my green anaconda had water blisters, a few days after you guys helped me out, she shed, and for the last couple of weeks they seem to be scabs, now, she keeps scraping off the scabs and the skin is white(under the scabs). i have for the last couple of weeks been putting neosporin on her. i was curious on if the white skin is actually her healing. any advice will help

Thanks
jake

Sounds like new skin under the scabs. Should heal alright and get smaller with each shed as long as it doesn't get re-infected.

they are scars and will eventually disappear after a few ecdysis cycles, keep the water cleaner, this condition is often caused by fouled water, if it looks clean it dosest mean it is, also keep cage dry with access to a small water bowl. best bet is newsprint (dry) small water bowl, let snake bathe in tub of water once weekly.
