I noticed my male pts chasing and biting the tail of my female about 6 months ago while turnign out the lights. i didnt stay to see if they actually mated, i didnt want to disrupt them. my female seems to be gettin fatter, but is there any way i can tell for sure?

the gestation for PTS is about 7 months give or take a few weeks. the baby(s) can be seen by ultrasound by around 4 months. the yolk can be seen much earlier than that. calcified skeletons can be seen with x-ray at least two months before birth. be patient, you will know soon enough! but not a bad idea to know beforehand how many there are (one or two) and how far along they are- so you know better when to expect them and prepare, and when to be worried if mom is having trouble.
the photo is of Gertie gravid with twins- she got VERY large.
