Does anyone know how to prime this thing? I got it going but it keeps "gurgling". I have to fill up the back with water every few minutes to stop it from doing that. Also, the flow of the water coming out is very little. Why is that?

I'm trying to make sure everything is working before i send my little turtle off to his new home. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I really wish I could keep him but my dad doesn't like animals in the house. I don't know why.

I don't have that type of filter, but my filter does that if there is an air leak somewhere. Check all the tubes and connections to make sure it isn't sucking in air.

I don't think anything is out of place. I check the impeller motor many times. The filter doesn't seem to be sucking up enough water.

I give up. I'm going to return this thing. Any recommendations for a good filter? I only bought this one because of the Bio-wheel. Does the turtle need it?

Well if your wanting to stick to the same style filter and price range i personally like Whisper brand filters never had one give trouble, have used a couple for 8 years used one on my 55gallon turtle tank for 3 years and probably will again on my current 55 once I fill it on up with water(The same filter, been sitting in a box for 4 years but tested it and it still works.
