3 Different Albinos

JDouglas May 25, 2004 10:14 PM

This is a yearling female produced by Clay English. She is keeping her color very well in her tail but is losing her other pattern. She is very different than our other two albinos because her spots are almost fluorescent orange...

This is our year old male produced by Stuart at Pythons.Net. Although he is losing his tail color he is still getting more red everywhere else with every shed.

This female is also a year old. She was produced by Pete Kahl and has a very bold red pattern from head to tail...

So which do you like?
Thanks for looking!

They are all remarkable! Gotta love an albino that gains color over time. I have a couple that share traits with the first two. If I had to choose one the last female has the most contrast (that I can see) so, she has got my vote. By any chance are the females derived from the stripe line? That particular PK blood is fantastic. Thanks for posting. Ray

Yes the third boa was produced from a Peter's female DH Stripe to a male paradox.

Awesome trio! Can't wait to see what you produce. Any plans for that male this season?
I am so exited to see what is happening with the albino gene. Look at the difference in quality from just 2 years ago. In another 2 years there should be albinos that are comparable to candy canes. Looks like you are on your way.
Thanks for getting back. Ray

The male is our back-up plan this year. We plan to breed our hypo het ghost to two normal BCI, but if the hypo male is not big enough by breeding season then we will use the albino male and produce het albinos. We have a female het albino that he will be bred to in a couple years. We are not sure which female albino he will be bred to. We plan to purchase a hypo het sunglow male to breed to one of the female albinos. Probably the Kahl Albino because of her higher contrast.
