up date on my "lucky"

srsnakes May 26, 2004 01:25 AM

I just want to start off by saying thank you to everyone who gave me input on my rescue nick named Lucky til i can find him a good greek mythology name. Upon Steve and I probing this guy after a few days of rest it turns out "he" is a "she" is back to a "he" thats okay the vet warned us that he wasnt very good at probing sooo no worries there but im back to the drawling board for masculine names i guess persephony just wont work for a big boy. I have taken some pictures today and wanted to show them but i want to warn you first that they arent that clear and second they arent for the weak of heart. Remember everywhere you see torn scabbed over flash was one big scab which covered his entire face. Anyways everyone has been great about names and input on this issue. I have decided that the only thing which matters is "luckys" health and happiness. So please if you dont want to see the pictures then go back now and im sorry to have to post these but i hope it helps in the long run.. Thank you everyone!

Sincerley,
Rose Hipskind & Steven Aguilar

I commend you on giving this boa a great home.
Taking in a rescue just shows how BIG a human
HEART can be.

Take care and good luck,

Patrick

Legolas was the cute blond elf (leave it up to us women to remember the cute ones! lol). Aragorn was the 'human male' lead in the fellowship - he also went by Strider when he was first introduced in the movie as a ranger at the tavern (prior to the forming of the fellowship). Another good name from Lord of the Rings would be Gandalf (remember he falls into the abyss and everyone thinks he's lost until, low & behold, he pops up again later in the movie as Gandalf the White (instead of the Grey). Does it show that I'm a LOTR fan?

Good luck deciding on a name for the fellow and another kudos to your for taking him on. Hopefully he'll have a much happier life now that he's in caring hands.

Gimli was the Dwarf...

The Elf was Legolas. I dont know about cute, being a hetero male, but if your talking about the main character elf...... its Legolas.

How long is "he"??

srsnakes May 26, 2004 08:51 PM

Well "lucky" is down to two names im sure i know which one steve will choose because i doubt he wants me to name this guy after a cute movie character. I really really like Theos (Thanks Pythons-N-More for all the names and research). So his full name would be Theos "lucky of the lake" yeah im a big dork but i think its funny. This whole mythology thing was started with our first boa a hogg island who was named Eos after the sunset goddess due to her colors. Upon recieving her mate we called him Helios i think Helios was the young greek god of the sun something like that and the third mating member became Metis after i believe a godess of wisdom and the first wife of Zeus. As for size wise Theos "lucky of the lake" or Legolas "lucky of the lake" is about 6 feet and weighs in at about 9lbs. Anyways thanks for all the input and i will let you know about the final decision later tonight in a new post! THANKS

Sincerely,
Rose & Lucky
