Can you find Flagyl and Panacur anywhere other then a vet.

Panacur: Local farm supply stores, about $8.99 a tube.

Flagyl: Liquid (Mexico for $3 a bottle) sometimes you can find it at herp shows for $20 a bottle. The flagyl pills can be ordered at most large herp supply websites.

Flagyl is metronidazole

You can purchase 250mg capsules of metronidazole at almost any fish hobbiest store. I purchase under the brand name "Hex-a-mit" I know it comes in more brand names.

Be very carefull with Flagyl. Overdose is bad news for the snake. I don't recall the whole list of bad things~ but it was enough to intimidate me. No more than 100 to 125 mg/kg.

I never used the pills; it's too difficult to get the proper dose.

40-50 mg/kg works very well, and is very safe for Bp's.
