Hi, A buddy recently purchased this wild-caught rainbow. The guy he got it from did not know what local he is from. Maybe you do? Notice the bright colored orange spots on his side. Thank you, Lee

That is a Brazilian Rainbow Boa.
If it's a Brazillian, it's smokin' Mine's a lot more orange (she's smaller, though).
Lee,
Brazilian Rainbow Boas have an enormous range. They range from Ecuador, northern Peru, extreme southern Colombia, extreme southern Venezuela, southern Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana and the northern part of Brazil. There is a great deal of variation in overall color and size and intensity of the light markings on the sides. Sometimes BRBs from the same locale will look very different. So, it is difficult to say where that one came from based upon how it looks. Most of them imported into the USA have come from the area of the range nearest to Surinam.
