Timor eggs revisited.....

reddragon01 May 26, 2004 06:55 PM

Been waiting since Feb 3rd for my eggs to hatch (posted a couple of times earlier getting advice). As I am getting anxious, I carefully took the eggs out of the incubator and took a look at them with a strong flashlight on the other side of the eggs. I would have thought at this stage I would see at least a dark mass in the eggs, but the light seems to come through them with an even, yellowish red tinge throughout. There's no mold on the eggs, they do not smell. Am I wasting my time with these eggs, or is there still a chance they are fertile/viable? Hate to think I've been wasting my time the past 3 1/2 months, but I guess I have to be just as ready for bad news as good.

If they still look healthy, why stop incubating them??? Once they begin to fester, then I'd say it's time to throw them out, in the meantime, let them be...

Roger that, exactly what I intend to do...I guess I was looking for an opinion as to whether I should have seen some darkness in the eggs by now. Thanks for the response.

Relax, I just hatched a monitor egg that incubated for 59 weeks. In other words chill out. All your messing will do is harm. There is no possible benefit from fooling with eggs. When they are bad, YOU WILL KNOW. FR
