how old is he?
I got 4 Aquaflame babies (3-4 weeks old) and they don't show orange at all.
how often baby shed?

PHEve May 27, 2004 06:29 AM

everytime there is a significant size change, if they eat alot and put weight on quickly they will shed faster.

I'd say at this young age maybe every few weeks, for awhile.

Some of my adults will shed 3 times during spring and summer, STILL!

Depends on how much they eat! That determines growth rate!

As far as Will pic, that hatching has awesome orange , they can be all a bit different. Mine last year had alot of yellow, some don't some do.

His little guy is vibrantly marked.

The orange will fade with age, it just sorta is a visual protection at this age. So adult males will not attack them. The orange resembles their females.

Pretty Cool Nature trick Always takes care of the underdog, hehehhee

I will add that your male will develop an awesome orange striping at approx 3 months of age. You will think you have a little gravid female. They develop that orange, and gets as intense as construction cones. Then slowly it will fade away.

What is his background? Is he a hatchling from the same parents you've been breeding? Is this the first time you've seen the orange legs? Very cool lizard. Must be the Surprise sun ;P
