Length really dosent matter...its all about weight.....many people argue about the earliest weight to start breeding a female...some say 1000g. and others say 1500g........I personally think that the bigger the female the better the results......so my opinion would be that 1500g is the earliest and thats what I go by.......I have had females that were close to 1000g. that bred but never produced.......so I would wait until the snake had a little bit more size to her........
Good Luck!!!!!!

thanks!
I think the length does factor in as some balls seem to just be naturally smaller than others. A long skinny 1,500 gram girl from a line of large adult balls might not go when a short stocky 1,000 gram girl may be mature.
I recently saw a ghost female that started producing under 1,000 grams. I have a very chunky 1,240 gram girl that is breeding now. But I've also had heavier but longer and thinner girls not go.
The recommended weights are a good bench point when you don’t know much about the expected adult size and don’t have a lot of experience with the adult female proportions.
