Hello my name is Randi. Just the other day I found 3 eggs on the bottom of my pond. I was wondering if they would still hatch even though they were in water. We have them buried in a pot with potting soil.

I was told that even though they hatched in the water they might still have a chance of hatching. It just depends on how long they wwere in the water.

Yes, if they are rescued from the water within 24 hours, they will hatch, i've done it plenty of times, learn to filter out the ignorant turtle freeks from the knowlegable ones. Next time, maybe you should call your local reptile vet and ask, the answer is free and the answer is yes.
