I just found this post on another forum. It's an area for retro-herpers, you know, old timers.
Anyhow, note the size of the YT this guy received!

Anyone remember these guys? They were in Miami, and couldn't ever get an order right. Of course, they always gave you the mistakes at no charge (although sometimes the freight was a little daunting.....like the time they sent me a huge matamata in error). I also scored a Great Black Hawk, which I sold to Don Meier, the producer of Wild Kingdom, and a gorgeous 13 foot yellow-tailed cribo. A local kid had accumulated a large collection of North American Elaphe, which (unbeknownst to me) he kept in a large community cage. I sold him the cribo........it ate his collection.

I sent this to Chuck E and will be talking with Booby Lee this evening. I'd like to hear what they say, as they have more experience with imported specimens.
I have 2.2 D. c corais, but none even close to that.
The largest I have seen was a 9' specimen at the Miami Metro zoo back in 1978.
I know Don Bordner has some large specimens as well.

Bobby Lee! Jeez, that's the second time I have done that to him! Though, I had to point it out to him the first time!

Sorry Bobby!

haha, j/k......i have also heard of a gentleman who has a 12' male yt right here in philadelphia from a very reliable source. never actually seen it though myself........by comparison, my 03 yt female from dean is approaching 5' and will probably hit 6' by summers end. she is a real glutton but by no means fat. she's staring at me right now and you know what that means......thaw out a couple more small rats.....dannio

I've heard lots of stories of up to 13' specimens.
I believe they can get that big.

Only recenlty have they been captive bred in decent numbers...so, I think in 5-6 years we'll start really knowing.

I bet some of these recent captive born animals are going to be monsters.
