I have heard that retics are aggressive when it comes to feeding or opening the cage, are the dwarfs the same way.

All retic's dwarf or norm have one hell of a feeding response. Infact all snakes unless scared will likely try and bite when you just reach in an pick it up. What I used to do with my 10 1/2ft bali male was open the top and tap him on the side letting him know I was there....otherwise he was likely to strike me. Very calm snake once he knew I was there. I could not just reach in and grab him. As they get bigger if they are calm they seem to settle down more. They worry less about being eatten by the person handling them I guess LOL. Retics do have a pretty big feeding response and it would be in your interest to be careful when dealing with any snake in it's enclosure.
