Hi,
I was given a White Spot gecko at christmas time, which the previous owner was going to feed to a snake, anyway just wanted to ask a few questions about its vivarium.
He has come a long way since i have had him, the previous owner used to pick him up and scare the hell out of him all the time. I have given him a few semi-vertical caves for somewhere to hide and have left him alone. We had filmed him coming out to eat when we leave the room so we knew he was ok. Anyway now we have progressed to him being almost hand tame (will come out of cave to grab cricket and sit there till another one arrives then runs back in!) and he will stay out on the slate for short periods of time when we are in the room.
We are building a fairly large more vertical rock feature to go in there as at present it is all fairly low to the ground. He was given to me in a 24"x12"x15" (LxDxH) with just one rock to hide behind. I have improved the cage as best i can with little information, but i was wondering if the cage shape itself is satisfactory or if he should be in a more vertical enclosure?
any advice is more than welcome
Julie
