Well, I have a full grown male bubblegum raised from a yearling. I have seen some albino black rats that look very similar. It can certainly be hard to tell the difference, but from what I gather, the bubblegum will retain some yellow in the body, as a result of the yellow/everglades rat mixed in wih it, as opposed to just a red/pink and white mix on a black rat. If you're able to send a picture, I might be able to help verify it for you.
Thanks,
I do not have a pic as of now but will in the near future. He dosn't show any yellow at all. He is mostly pink with only a little red. I have a female, captive rased, normal Black Rat that's a Missouri locale. She has a more enlongated head but I've herd captive born specimens do have smaller heads. Any truth to this?
Mike
