Good news! "Big John" is turning blue - again!!!

BlueKing May 27, 2004 04:36 PM

This makes me believe he's still not done growing. 6 foot 2 inches and STILL growing!!!! Took this pic last week of the wife holding him just to show how friendly he is (the wife is not too fond of snakes by the way). He's blue now, so he'll be shedding soon! I guess he's still got a few more inches to go. . .
Enjoy,

ZEE

Wow! What a beaut! And the snake ain't bad either! Okay...just kidding around. Sure is a robust king, and pretty too. Pardon my ignorance, but is it an Eastern or a "blotched"? I hope my goini grows to be huge like that.

Thanks. I personally believe it is a blotched King. (one that has almost no lightening of the dark scales like most Blotched kings have). You could almost say it's a very wide banded eastern - but then again that would give it a "blotched" appearance, Right? LOL!

From the looks of it, I would say it definitely looks like an intergrade between an Eastern and an Apalachicola King...having more of the Eastern influence. Very nice King!
