I spotted this snake in Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania last summer. If anyone could please tell me what species it is (both common and scientific names preferebly)I would most appreciate it.

That would be Psammophis rukwae The Lake Rukwa sand snake. Max size 1.3 M. Eats (probably)snakes and lizards. Bites cause local swelling.
