How do you tell the gender of sonoran gopher snakes? and how long does it take them to reach full length? thanks in advance

The only sure fire way to sex any colubrid is by probing it. Let someone experienced show you how to do it, as it is a little touchy at first. As far as maturity we consider pits to be mature in the 3 1/2 - 4 1/2' year range, even though they continue to grow for quite a while after that.
