question

Hey all,

i was wondering if anyone who keeps, or works extensively with HLs has ever been blood-squirted? I haven't, but it seems that I read somewhere that DHLs either don't blood-squirt, or don't have the ability anymore. which begs another question. Is there a list of known blood-squirting species? (Is there a proper term for blood-squirting?) heh. Insights are as always, greatly appreciated.

Yours,
Phil

I have a pretty fair amount of experience going back numerous decades, and in my mind the only ones I've seen is the California Horned lizards (Blainville) on rare occasions, and also for sure the Texas horned lizard. I have had these squirt blood many many times. I don't remember ever seeing this in a round tail or a mountain horned lizard or a desert short horned, nor have I seen this in the desrt horned lizard from california and nevada, but thats my experience and soemone else may have had some of these squirt as well.
