uro acting strange

nathanb May 27, 2004 09:27 PM

We have had our mali uromastyx about 4 years now - always great with us, sits on our shoulder, liked to be held. Lately, it freaks when trying to get him/her out and has been swaying back and forth, almost looks like an attack mode or something. What is up? Does anyone know what we should do, or what it is trying to tell us? thanks

I'm sure it could be many things, but here's one possibility: mine get really cranky as they are getting ready to shed. I think the skin gets uncomfortable - they certainly don't like to be touched. I get snake dancing from them and the occasional hiss at that time.
