IJ carpets hatched!

RonW Jun 18, 2003 02:17 AM

I've just hatched my first pythons, a clutch of Irian Jaya carpets. They were incubated using the dry substrate/high humidity method (basically in a plastic box with holes that floated on water, 30.6 Celsius). The clutch was only small, 11 eggs, but 12 babies hatched. I'll post some pics of the babies soon.

What did you use as a substrate?

No substrate, the eggs where laid directly onto the plastic bottom. That and high humidity is enough.
