What kind of Gecko is this?

johng1804 May 27, 2004 10:13 PM

My dad found this baby Gecko in a chimney he was working on in michigan, in the middle of winter. Strange right? The house was under contruction so it was pretty cold inside. I was wondering If anyone knew what kind of Gecko it is. Here's the picture,

Not a baby, though, from what I can see comparing it to other pics. Found several by searching at Yahoo - images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?p=mediterranean gecko&ei=UTF-8&fr=fp-tab-img-t&cop=mss&tab=3

Yes, he looks very much like the geckos that run around my parent's house at night in summer. I didn't know they could be found in the US though. And I have never seen them around in winter but I guess this one was hibernating in that house.

lol Yeah, they can be found in the USA. Crystal's sister was having a problem with one who had taken up a home in the alarm system! Laid eggs & everything, if I remember correctly. It was very frustrating because the alarm wouldn't work right...
