Relatively new snake enthusiast could use some info

jq577 May 28, 2004 01:30 AM

First off, this is my first post here so hello =)
I purchased my first snake about 7 months ago and it is more and more becoming an addiction for me. I started with the purchase of a 9 year old ball python followed recently by the purchase of 2 baby Colombian Red Tails at a recent reptile convention. I'm very interested in becoming as much of an informed snake owner as possible and was wondering what some good informational resources might be. I am interested in learning snake terminology and specific species information. Also, I'm having great trouble finding a local breeder for a Guyana or Suriname Red Tail. Does anyone know of any good breeders either here, in Kansas City, or some reliable online breeders?

Thanks ahead of time,
Jon

...he produces some of the nicest true locality boa constrictors you will ever see, including suriname's. I have purchased many animals from him and I'm still amazed every time I look at them.
His website is millerreptiles.com.
You should pick up The Boa Constrictor Manual. Good information including info on breeding.
Good luck!
