Hello folks. Just collected a male and female musk/mud in Medina county Texas ditch, (with spotlight at night). They were within several yards from each other. And stinky as hell. My observation is that the female seems to be damaged in the cloaca area. Loose skin and such. Would this be a normal result of mating? How should I respond (besides letting them go back in the roadside ditch)? I wouldn't mind hatching some babies and letting them go in the creek behind me. Any pointers are welcome. Thanks!
