Striped Boas ... Long in males than Females

Genaroleon May 28, 2004 08:02 AM

Ive noticed - in my stock and from pictures that many of you post - that the stripping seems to be much long in the males than it shows up in the females. Most of my male Albinos with stripes... or my Stripe 100%het binos have a much more elongated "stripe" ...

Does anyone have any pictures of any females with significant striping?

I find the same in my pair too.Maybe its because the "normal" colombian males usually have the longer tail markings then the females.

Here are two females from my Striped and Super Striped line of boas, I have neither one anymore, Tracy Barker has the Super Striped one and Pro-Exotics got the large Striped Female. I actually found the oppisite to be true with the females showing more striping then the males in this line......
