Can you tell the sex by..
the patterns on the underside of a 4 month geyri?
Mine are starting to show lines and patterns coming in off the side and in the middle. Is this an indication that its a male?
Are the other ways to tell other than picking it up and looking for the bulges? I think he may freak cuz he's still new .
any help would be appreciated.

thanks

looking for bulges is probably the easiest root (especially so when the uro is full grown). If the uro is still new, don't worry about it right now. just get him or her used to you first, then check once he or she doesn't flip out everytime you try to pick it up.
