White's Tree Frogs are intelligent...mind you not as intelligent as dogs or dolphins, or people for that matter...but they are intelligent. Some people do say that they ARE able to recognize their owner, but are usually not afraid to be handled regardless, and so I don't know if mine recognize me as their owner, or just as another human. I know one of my frogs, Cadi, definitely knows when it's feeding time and the other frogs don't, so she is smart in her own way. I feed them in a separate cage so eggs don't get laid in the frog tank and to avoid crickets from eating at the frogs or dying and having to clean up the remains. But as to how smart they are, there is no way to rate them, only to compare them to other animals, and some are probably smarter than others. I guess my only advice would be not to underestimate them.
my three adult WTF know the feeding schedule so on feeding nights they sit at the front of the tank and wait for me .
I just got mine so I dont really no, but I have two tiger salamanders and every time i walk by the cage or tap the glass they come out its funny.
