FBT missing toes!!

MissMiniZoo May 28, 2004 01:41 PM

I just happened to notice today that my one of my 4 FBTs is missing 3 toes on his back leg. Otherwise, he seems perfectly normal. He eats, swims, etc. That's why I was so shocked to discover his deformed foot today. Is it possible that one of my other toads injured him? What else could have caused this injury? Toads do not regenerate toes, correct?

If need be, I can post a pic of his foot...

Thanks!

I have one with a similar deformity, I think it is just a birth or genetic defect, this toad competes fine for food, has stayed healthy over a year, most people never spot it.

Since I posted about his toes, he's been just fine. It just caught me offguard to find my little guy with half his foot missing. He wasn't like that when I first got him, so I really don't have any idea what happened. All I can think of is that one of the others got ahold of him while feeding...thanks for the reply!
