Really odd Anaconda

royalserpent85 May 28, 2004 03:22 PM

I just got this beautiful female green anadonda a little while back. I've only had her for a few months, and she's shed four times and she's growing really fast. When I got her, she was only 4 feet, now she's up to 6 ft, and she's a lot thicker too. She's also super tame. She's like a big ball python; nothing will upset her. My friend calls it the "Anti-conda" because it so unlike a lot of other anacondas. After she eats, she will crap out her meal in about 3 days, and be ready for more. I thought it was worms or something at first, because no snake I've had processes food that quick. i had her checked by the vet and he said she's perfectly OK. I don't get it.

And also, you may have seen the pic of me holding her. Don't let it fool you, she's a pretty fat snake, about as thick around as my arm, I just haven't fed her for a while, so she's not at her biggest.

I didn't mean odd looking. I meant odd behavior. she was super tame when I got her, most anacondas are aggressive. She also has a really quick growth rate, most anacondas grow slowly.

I've had a couple that were super tame and grew tremendesly fast. Then I've had some that were nervous and didn't feed well at all. Yours isn't so strange, you just have a good one.
