HerpGirl Jun 18, 2003 07:38 AM

i just got a cage that sum1 left out for trash but its in good shape. its wood and mostly wire. i was going to upgrade my juvie ig to it and i cleaned everything out but i need to know the best way to disinfect it? i heard someone say white vinegar and water but i heard sum1 else say bleach and water, which sounds better to me. what are the quantities of each that i can use without poisoning my herps?

Weak acids such as vinegar may have their uses, but bleach is what you should use for disinfecting this cage. This recent post will give you the basics. Try not to skip the UV treatment afterwards.
