B B gun wound?

amytruman May 28, 2004 10:38 PM

I have owned a reptile rescue for 13 years, and I have pulled out many a BB from turt and tort shells.
Tonight my neighbor asked me to look at his cats leg and tell him what might have caused the hole in his cats leg.
To me it looked like what I have seen many times before, a BB hole.
It was perfectly round and a inch deep and not bleeding just a perfect hole. It was swollen around the edge, like a bump, then the perfect hole.
Does anyone have a opinion on this kind of wound?
I can say for sure that their kids as young as 5 do have BB guns and mom and dad are not always around if you know what I mean. This cat also just gave birth to 3 kittens on Tuesday.
Just wondering if it sounds like a BB wound.

Sounds like it...But at an inch deep, where did the BB go?

The mom said and I quote " I have vacumed up like 30 of these things this week"." they just spill them but never shoot them in the house". "They would never shoot the cat".
My guess is that the bb got vacumed up. The mom is in total denial.
