Do you EVER see your hatchling/juvis come out and prowl the cage? I have had this guy for like 2-3 weeks and he is even in my bedroom. Yet, I NEVER see him come out. When I take him out he is all over the place, then sits still, then is all over the place again, repeating this cycle until I put him away. I like to him my corn look-a-like on speed. Ha ha... Awesome snake.

They are pretty spastic as babies. You decribed it perfect with the darting around, and then freezing for a few moments, and then shooting in the other direction.

I never observed by babies cage behavoir but my adults do move around and search their cages. They also mellow down with age. They aren't flighty but they are always looking to climb higher than where they are.
