I have an adult corn that about 2 months ago had a bad shed. He tore about 1/3 of the new brille off. I didn’t know what to do. I thought his eye would dry out and he would lose it. The only thing i could thing of was to take the old brille, soak it in saline solution and put it over the torn one. I tucked in the soft lose skin that is in between the scales and the brille. Well it worked as far as keeping his eye protected. But i was worried that the next shed he wouldn't be able to produce a new full brille. Well he went into a shedding cycle a week ago and to my relief both of the eyes turned blue to the same degree and cleared at the same time. Last night he shed the skin and he had a perfect full brille. I checked the shedded brille and what happen is that the torn brille cause fluid to seep in between the bad one and the one i replaced over it. Had to use my fingernail to pull the two fused brilles apart from the loose skin.
