Is there a heating pad strong enough to go through tile?

fadetolemons May 29, 2004 08:41 AM

The uth i was using before can't even really heat through the tile i'm using in my tank now, so i got a cermic heating lamp. I was just wondering if there are more powerful uth's that i could look into that would work better with tile, or is a ceramic bulb the best way to go?

Use a Human Heat pad. On low mine goes to 95 after 4 hours of warming up, then on medium up to 110 after 4 hours, and i haven't tested high yet.

High mode hurts my hand. Its ridiculous. I also use human heating pads. They work fine, cuz the reptile ones are SO expensive

Well i have a human heating pad upstairs, and i'm getting a new cage tommorow since i have to separate my male from the two females, should i try out the human heating pad on it? Hope it works. Are there any hazards with it or with leaving it on a lot?

i've had mine on continuously for at least a month, and no problems. I check the temp daily though just in case. And the heat pads are under tile.
