Why only CA? Petno sucks almost everywhere.
The one here finally quit selling BD's. When I asked why, they said they couldn't keep them alive. Wonder why?
Since they were losing money, they stopped selling them, unfortunately many dragons died before they stopped.

I would think that would open the doors for other states to follow suit. Unless the issue is pushed by customers it's not going to happen. The amount of money they are being required to spend is not that much but if it were spread throughout all the stores in different states then maybe the message would become clear. What is needed is for customers to get information from employees about how other stores are run in different areas and then move forward with that information.

I work for a Petco and I think we're pretty good. While I agree that Petco does have a lot of problems I work really hard in my store to fix what I can. I know the animal specialists in the store and know that that they actually care about the animals. Whenever an animal is sick, it gets pulled off the sales for and taken to the vet. I have seen us spend several hundreds of dollars on a Tortoise that had a retail price of $79.99. And that is only one case. Maybe not all Petco's are like that, but mine is. All of our associates own pets. One is a vet tech who also works with animal rescue agencies. One other works for another vet. I have been at my store for over a year now, so I know I'm not just repeating what I'm told. I have seen it. As for the overcharging, if the tag says one price and it rings up another the customer gets it for the lower price; it's our fault if we didn't pull the expired sale tag down. Well, I'm sorry for ranting, but I felt it necessary to give an insider's opinion.
