well i aquired an adult cali as a male then found out it was female, newport cali,big approx 46-48 inches,very healthy good weight,etc,got her in late feb not sure if she was cycled or even how old she was or had ever even been bred?? well i decided to breed her or try, wellall went fine but after her prelay shed, she started swelling at her backend,lots,scary looking i could feel 3,4eggs there all seemed massed together,well 16days post shed she laid 15eggs ,all looked good? firm,white,healthy?,however when candled showed nothing?no viens at all,well thought ahhwell prolly an old breeder and these are all duds, but they just looked so nice, so i decided to keep them on vermic,and just see,,wellafter 7 days of looking i see nothing no signs o viens at all,but still nice lookin white plump eggs? then on the 8th day of checking them i beleive i can start to see developing viens very small and def. not everwhere yet small viens???
for me in the past all king eggs when candled have shown viens at least for me from day 1 and by a week have been full of strong networks of viens
so my ? is, is this normal in cali's?have other folks had this happen? and finally do ya think they will hatch? anyway thanks
