Hello,

The ONLY Chameleons that can be housed in an aquarium are the pygmy species. There are a few out there available presently from different sellers. The can range in price from $10ea to $150ea depending on the species. Feel free to contact me offlist if you have any other questions sales@rkreptiles.com

Hi,
I just got three stump-tailed cham's from Kammerflage Kreations in CA (I live in NH). I have them in a 10 gal tank, 5 live plants, a basking site and full spectrum bulb along the top. They are forest floor dwellers from Tanzania (mine are cb)so their requirements are a bit easier to provide than the big guys. They are 1" long and max out at 3-4" They are adorable!!

I chose the Kammers as breeders for a few reasons:they exclusively sell cham's ands don't breed a dozen other herps as well, found them to be very responsive to questions via email, phone, etc., their site is outstanding and to me says a lot about the care they give their animals. They have a solid and long history in the cham world and are very respected. Sure, I could have gotten them cheaper, but like they say - you get what you pay for. I know I will have them available to me for help as long as my mini-cham's live!

This is not to say there are not other perfectly reputable and competent breeders out there, but I am giving you my personal experience and research - which I have spent months doing! Their web site is below so check it out. Chameleon E-zine has an article about them and some written by them as well. Hope I have been some help!

p.s. Oh, mine are Rhampholeon brevicaudatus - pix on their site.
