funny story

msmr5169 May 29, 2004 03:07 PM

well i graduated from the 8th grade on wedensday and after the whole seramony some of our family came over to celebrate.well the day after graduating i found that my cage with 2 of my ball pythons had been opend and they were missing.me and my cousin searched everywhere and we found the female in another room but to no prevale my male was nowhere to be found.i am thinking that when our family was over one of the little ones went into my bedroom to see my snakes and opend my cage which i have explained is a "no no".well last night i was sitting in my room watching a movie with my cousin eat pie that was left over from the graduation party and i was sitting there and i felt somthing cold on my arm i though aw man i dropped pie on my bed and i looked over and heres this little head looking up at me and i looked over at my cousin and said very nonchalauntly "hey i found melvin" so i now have both of my snakes back and if they ever get out again im not going to bother searching im just going to leave mud pie in the middle of the room.

i thought it was quite funny that my snake was in my headboard the whole time and came out only to get some pie.it would have been even more funny if he decided to come out in the middle of the night , that would have scared the hell out of me even tho melvin wouldent hurt a fly maybe a mouse but not a fly.

I like those stories. I usually panic and tear the house apart looking for them until i find them. I knocked 7 huge holes in a wall looking for a young green anaconda...but i got her. My sugar gliders are the worst with those tricks and i have learned no to panic as much since i can be assured they just found a new good hiding spot. But since i often let them run lose even overnight...it really worries me if i notice a snake is loose.

why do you keep 2 snakes in the same cage? Especially if it is male/female? If the female is to young she will get egg bound and die. It is far to easy to keep them seperate.......not trying to be rude or lecture. More of a question than anything.
