Soaking/Bathing Question????

jack7777766 Jun 18, 2003 08:54 AM

Hi,

Im just curious I know leos have no NEED to be soaked, like a bearded dragon would. But has anyone tried?? Do they enjoy it?? Is it good/harmfull for them???
If its bad could I Just kind of bathe my male?? When I smell my female I hardly detect a scent but when I smell my male, its not so bad but I would like to bathe him.

P.S. Is there anything I could use besides water like a soap??

Thanks

I would have guessed, the smell your smelling is his scent.

Cats spray, Dogs pee, Leos smell.. they are reported to use chemicals for communication.

I don't think bathing them hurts them but for a species that lives in arrid conditions naturally I don't think they really need it. Unless they are having extrem sheding problems.

The only time I soak my Leos are when they are having a hard time with a shed, which is almost never. Also, I would stay away from soap.
