Peach Throat Monitor

Raptorman May 29, 2004 06:36 PM

Hey all, I was looking into getting a snile monitor but from reading about them and what people have been saying I have changed my mind. So i went looking for a monitor that looks similar to the nile, doesn't get huge, and is fairly tame. i found the Peach Throat Monitor. Can anyone give me info about them?

I wouldn't consider jobiensis to be generally tame or small.

Figure a 6x3x3 cage at the very least. It needs to maintain heat and a high humidity level. It also needs to somehow allow you to feed them in relative safety. I have not ever seen a healthy peachthroat be anything but highly agressive towards food, not quite argus, but real close. This coupled with razor claws means you will bleed alot, even if the monitor is tame.

They are still my favorite monitor, but if tame is any goal, I'd recommend you look elsewhere.
