Socialism is a political term and social is a behavior.

Socialism could be a appliable, for ants, hahahahahahahaha. Wow, wouldn't it great if monitors practiced socialism. All for the colony comrades.

I could make so comments of your "retes boards" that may help. If you want them. Great monitors and thanks, FR

I know what socialism is, I was just trying to make a funny..What would you recommend to me, keeping in mind that those are not the only types or arrangement of boards/stacks in their enclosure..in fact, that is the first time I've ever seen them nestled up in that area; they are usually wedged in between an even thinner area on the opposite side of the enclosure, but I would love to hear some constructive criticism...

First, to apply these boards, you must have a reason. The reason they were developed by me was to provide the same conditions they use in nature. Only in a very artificial way.

Normally, Kimberlys would use very tight crevices in rocks or trees and under bark. These areas do several things. One is to limit air movement, so the hole is your boards is defeating that. Next, they are suppose to allow a secure feeling, being tight, you have done that with the way you stack them. They are also to supply lots of different spaces for several individuals. And lastly for now, to allow different temps with different levels. Here you failed, your boards are too thick, insulate too well. A Stack is to allow a number of tight secure areas of different temps with as little air exposure as possible.

These tasks are the same as they use in nature. Remember security means to be safe from predators(you) and other individuals(mental predators) of the colony. Cheers FR
