Should I turn off my undertank heat pad at night?
no, i would leave it on, i do mine.
If you are cycling your ball python for breeding, then you will definitely want to have it shut off for a period of time during the night. If your ambient temps at night are in the low to mid 70's, then shutting off the heat tape at night will be perfectly fine. But, if your house temps are fairly cool (70 or below) then leaving them on 24 hours a day will be a good idea (and if you have any doubt, just leave them on continuously). Connecting any heat source to a quality thermostat is a must if you want to keep your snake in the proper environment. Rob
