Searching for information/care sheets for Indo Tree Boas

Scelus May 30, 2004 03:42 AM

Hey all, I've recently discovered the beauty of arboreal constrictors. A local pet shop just received a juvenile Indo Tree Boa, and I've been salivating at the chance to own it. Unfortunately, I can't find any information as to their disposition, adult size, or requirements.
I've read that arboreal snakes tend to be aggressive, but the snake I handled had the temperament of a Rosy Boa.

Basically, if I could get a link to a care sheet, or maybe a bit of information as to the species, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks!

Hello You picked a great secies to get into. These boas can not be compared to any other tree boas. I have never seen a aggressive Candoia, well maybe a Viper Boa I onced owned. They are really easy to keep animals. There isnt too many sources for info on these boas but I am trying to change that. You can go to my group site http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pacificislandboas It has a forum, photo gallery plus a large resource section to browse(Files section)and 74 members worldwide This group can be linked through Kingsnakes "mailing lists" section. As far as care sheets, Jerry Conways web page has some good caresheets/articles to read. It is linked through Kingsnake also in the "care sheets" section. I think you will be happy if you puchase the Boa. And then the addiction strikes and you become one of us Welcome to the world of Candoia!!!
