i want to make a "cliff" on my tank like pictured in tis thread on the right hand side. i know you can take large rocks and put dait behind them to have mini rock facings. but how can you take cork bark and anchor it in like this the picture without it eventually coming those and falling over?

And whats the best subsrate to fill in behind it? i dont want to fill it with soil im going to buy cause that stuffs expensive!

I think you silicone it. I looked on Ben Green's site and it showed how. He packed the back with spaghnum moss. here's a link.

The best way to do it is to use silicon caulk (make sure it is the pure kind and not the kind with mold inhibitors in it). make sure you pack moss into the cracks and pockets on the back of the cork bark flats or your frogs will be able to get back there and possibly get stuck and die. As far as substrate, i use a combination of sand, co-co husk and mulched leaves with a little animal safe fertilizer thrown in.

I'm sorry, but i really dont see the cliff in that picture, the best advice i can give you is to be creative with it, there is really no "right" way to set a tank up, just make sure it is sturdy and has not chance of harming your frogs.

well i would say it more of a platue. in the picture it is on the right hand side. the azures is standing in front of it. theres a large brom on top of it and a smaller on on the ground infront of it.
