A BIG HIGH 5 for Fred Albury

Carmichael May 30, 2004 08:44 AM

I just wanted to publicly thank Fred for going out of his way in helping out a friend. For the past several weeks, a gentleman named Greg was trying to ship us his prized eastern indigo due to his upcoming leave for Europe. Although he considered selling it (and could have sold it for top dollar), he decided to donate it to our wildlife center to help us continue our couperi conservation education message. Unfortunately, we exhausted every means of shipping this snake to us to no avail and the "deal" was crumbling with each day....that is, until Fred stepped in. In this day and age when we are all very busy with little time to even help out a friend, Fred came through and I just wanted to thank YOU (FRED) for helping us bring this beautiful animal to our place. That is what makes the Drymarchon community so unique in the herp world...its a close knit bunch who always help each other out. The snake, named Stealth, came in perfect condition and he is 7' of PURE BEAUTY and obviously spoiled to death by his previous owner (thanks again Greg!). Thanks again Fred. Rob

That sounds great Rob. When will this snake be on display at the center?
