Looks like I may finally see some production from my pit projects. I started with hatchlings, albino female and anery male. Snow project, each was sold to me as being het for the other gene. That pair is currently breeding. In '02 I collected this female as a juvy and bred her to the only adult male I have, the anery mentioned above. She just went through her pre-egg laying shed on the 25th and should give me a clutch in the next few days. Last year I collected another juvy female and just couldn't believe what I found. She was in the blue at the time and I was not positive but she looked anery. I posted pics and got some positive feedback. It's easy to see the difference between the two of them in the side by side pics. I do think it is a different anery gene than what is currently in the marketplace. Just like corns have Type A and Type B, this female appears to be a Type A when compared to my adult male. She shows some green on her dorsal and green is made with yellow and blue. I believe there is some yellow that shows as green when the light reflects with the iridiphores.
Would love to hear your comments.
