Shedding/Constipation

amhassell89 May 30, 2004 04:14 PM

How do I speed up the shedding process? My Beardie has shed around it's eyes about a week ago but nowhere else. So I was wondering if there is anything I can do to have it shed the rest of her skin faster. I've tried soaking her in water but that hasnt worked. Any advice would help.

P.S. My Beardie seems constipated she drinks water about once a day or two. I do not feed her Iceburg Lettuce. I've tried massaging her belly but so far that has not helped. (Could I be massaging wrong?)

After the soak, make sure the basking spot is 105-115 and the cage is not humid. the skin needs to dry out so it can come off. give him something rough to rub against to help remove the shed.

Hydration is important. Food with high water content. Pellets soaked in water as well.

Hi
masage is not bad if yo do it cently.
shoulder deep bath and then let her in for 15-20 minutes wil most of the time make them poop.
feel with youre inside of youre wrist if the water is not to hot like a human baby bath.
