Reptiles generally do better if you don't mix species... but amphibians can normally live ok with similar species.

Example: Green Tree Frogs, Firebelly Newts, Firebelly Toads, certain species of salamanders, and possibly an Axotyl (spelling is wrong).

Along with the amphibians you can keep non aggressive small fish in with them for extra food... such as goldfish. Also you could keep a Pleco in there to keep the tank clean.

1-Green tree frogs
2-Firbelly newt
3-golden frog
4-green anole
5-salamander( WHAT KIND? YOU SAID CERTAIN?)
6-Gecko

What would happen if i added a small crayfish in the water portion...any ideas?

You can put Crayfish in if a) you don't have any goldfish or other slow, non-aggressive fish and b) your amphibians are fast enough to get away from it.

Crayfish have a tendency to nip tails of fish and stress out amphibians, if not given a big enough space. If you are not planning to use goldfish or guppies or anything like that, crayfish are OK. Just make sure you give him a place to hide.

Ever thought about trying some crabs?
