BANG!

earwiggy May 30, 2004 06:44 PM

I know the title sounded a little enticsing (SP?), but at night my frogs climb up there tree and jump at the top. It is really annoying and loud (since they stay with me in the same room). Is there anything I can do about it? I don't really care if there isn't a answer, I don't expect there to be one.

What kind of frogs are they? I would like to avoid this problem when I get some frogs. Thanks

Leopard frogs, but I think, that it might be just the personal frogs personallity, because it is only one of them. I could be totally wrong. But, I don't want to drive you away from getting leopard frogs.

What kind og "bang"? Hitting the top of the enclosure? Hitting some other thing? Vocalizing?

From what I know of leopard frogs, they aren't climbers... Do you know the subspecies?

What size is the enclosure? How is it set up (amount of land, water, substrate)? Temps?

How many frogs do you have in this enclosure?

I am assuming you caught these yourself.

The easiest solution, take 'em out of your room =P.

My pacman went nuts once, jumping at the lid of her cage & hitting it. It turned out that she was seeing the shadow of the leopard gecko in the cage above hers & was jumping at it. I had to put a towel under the gecko's cage so she couldn't see it anymore. This solved the problem for me. Is there perhaps something above your cage that could be upsetting him?

never thought about it, but I do keep my crickets on the shelf above them. One of them will eat until no tomorrow, and seems like the one doing it. I think he is trying to get at them, because they are REALLY loud at night. I moved the crickets out of the room last night (cause they were loud) and he/she seemed to be fine.

And I did buy them at a store during the fall (don't know why, just really wanted them, and wasn't going to a lake anytime soon).
